Land Acknowledgment

Original Tombola is based on the traditional homelands of the Council of the Three Fires: the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi peoples. This region also served as an important gathering place for many other Indigenous Nations, including the Fox and Sac, Ho-Chunk, Kickapoo, Menominee, and Miami. We honor these original stewards of the land, recognize the enduring presence of Indigenous communities here today, and acknowledge that this place bears the lasting legacy of displacement, broken treaties, and settler colonialism.

We believe there is a good chance, and then there is good design. Good design begins with paying attention — to people, to place, and to the consequences of our choices. We are grateful to live and work on this land and strive to practice that responsibility with humility, stewardship, and care.
